Anyone here has heard the latest album from Juan luis Guerra?...i think the recording Eng. is Eric Shilling, i`m very interested to know his recording technique in the "tambora dominicana" and percussion in general...please, if anyone know something about it, tell us a little... :D thanx in advance

I'm looking for a good drum program, but I can't find any on the internet that work easy or have the possibilities I need. Does anyone know/have a program that works with midi or so, and where i can use the standard drum-notation? (like powertab, but then for drums:))

I have just completed a CD of drum samples for Drumagog. Farview Recordings Rock Drums Volume 1 contains 75 .gog files including 11 kicks, 26 toms (5 sets), and 38 snares.
I am working on getting a couple of .gogs up on the site for you to try. That should happen in the next couple of days.

I've been trying to get a good sound out of a kick drum that didn't have a hole in the front skin. The drum was well tuned and sound okay in the studio, altough there was a lot of ringing in it. Anyway, here's the setup i've had...

Either the D112 or the Shure Beta 59? Or is it the 56? Opinions on this one?

I was wondering if any of those pre-made drum mic kits are any good? Is there one that's fairly cheap, but sounds good?
