Choice of addon pre via ADAT to a Focusrite Liquid Saffire 56

Submitted by pcrecord on Mon, 07/08/2013 - 09:14

Hi Guys, Following my purchase of a Focusrite ISA 2 Preamp unit, I decide to upgrade my 4 m-audio delta cards. I went with the Saffire 56, seemed a good choice with good reviews. The Preamps quality is honest and for the small tests I did, the converter seemed better than the delta cards.

So the question : I'm used to have 16 inputs, what can I get to upgrade the Saffire 56.

Stereo recording with Focusrite ISA 220

Submitted by rifkijones on Thu, 06/13/2013 - 07:18

Hi I just added some new gear to my setup. A matched pair of SE Electronics SE1A's and a Focusrite ISA 220. I would like to get a nice acoustic sound recording with matched pair mics, but notice the 220 has only one output. Does anyone have any thoughts on a likely workaround as I would like to use the matched pair.

Focusrite 2i2 interface latency on Reaper

I have had my 2i2 audio interface for about a month now and have been getting to grips with some recording (I am using reaper).
However I am unable to get rid of the latency. According the the Asio Configuration the input latency is 11.3 ms and the output is 16.3 ms.
When I try reducing the buffer length it results in popping and clicking.

re-amping with Focusrite Saphire 56

Hi, I'm new here, though not new to recording, but I have run into a problem that I can't seem to find anyone who knows what I am talking about. I want to re-amp a bass guitar. I am using a DOD active DI to split the signal and capture both the mic'd sound and the DI signal into my new (part of the issue) Focusrite Saphire 56.
