Focusrite Saffire - how does it measure up?

How would a Focusrite saffire measure up to a PreSonus firebox, or an m-audio 1814.. would it be a very noticeable difference?

I want a soundcard of pro quality, good preamp gain and clarity in a firewire form factor..

Also, I was thinking of just saving for a Mackie Onyx 1220, along with the optional firewire card..
what do you guys think?

thanks a lot.

Focusrite Trackmaster vs PreSonus Eureka

I currently work with a Digi 002. I am looking to upgrade the preamps. I will be using the pre for vocals only and am looking for a louder, smoother, thicker "in your face" vocal. Does anybody have any feedback or suggestions as to which preamp to purchase?

I am leaning towards the Eureka but have heard a few good things about the Focusrite Trackmaster.

Focusrite liquid mix

anyone had a chance to use the Focusrite liquid mix?

(Dead Link Removed)

i have a UAD card that i use with DigitalPerformer 5 and love it. it's pretty much all i use for mixing. that and altiverb.

this piece looks very promising though and the price is right - especially if you really can get 32 channels. i like the hardware front end too.

The Brick vs Focusrite Platinum preamps (Octopre, etc)

Anyone have experience with both Focusrite's Platinum range preamps (Octopre, Voicemaster) and The Brick? How do they stack up? Has anyone compared The Brick to a VTB-1? (I assume at $100 the VTB-1 lands in that budget category of "sounds okay, but nothing special"). Any insight would be appreciated.

millenna stt-1 or Focusrite isa 430 or Focusrite red 7 ?

hello,

i have a Manley gold mic.
and i would like to know whats the best preamp for that mic.

i wanna a transparente, clear, open and super big sound.

i have the 3D Pre CD Volume 1, Preamps in Paradise-Preamp Summit DVD-ROM, 3D Mic CD and ADCD Converter CD . :)

i kown there are GORDON, BUZZ AUDIO, GML... but in CD i prefer the Millennia or the focusrite.
