RME Fireface 800-Do I still need PreSonus Eureka or GT The Brick to record wit the FF

Ive got an RME Fireface. would like to warm up the sound. The PreSonus Eureka sounds like a great options and value. I'm on a budget so dont even mention Neve or API, othewise it would be Neve all the way for me. I've been reading about the Brick by Groove Tubes, sounds like more of what Im looking for. Do I need both, one or neither.

ISA ONE vs GT Brick - or other?

Hello, I'll start with a quick explanation of what I'm doing.

I have a small (but growing) mobile recording rig that is based around a Music XPC laptop and a Mackie Onyx 1640. I don't have many mics yet, but I have access to borrowing and renting lots and will be obviously expanding that side of things as I need to.

GT Brick problem? sounds distorted and crackly!

Ive been trying to troubleshoot a scratchy distorted sound that comes and goes in my signal chain. I have a strong feeling that its coming from my GT brick since Ive pretty much replaced/ruled everything else out. It makes my signal weak..(both mic and instrument in) and scratchy and then its normal for a second and then its scratchy and weak again. Its pretty frustrating as u can imagine.

Converting GT Brick to UK voltage

I have just purchased a Groove Tubes Brick from the US as there is nowhere to buy one from in the UK. I was told that I can switch the voltage to 240v internally but after opening it up cannot find any obvious switches. A search on Google came up with one guy saying that I need to change some wires around. Has anyone got any ideas or a link to a guide on how to switch the voltage over?

Will a Brick improve my Firepod?

I am currently pretty happy with the results I am getting when recording my jazz guitar. I currently mic my Archtop (seven string, big body type) with a RODE NTK and record the direct signal from my guitar through an Avalon U5. I then re-amp with a radial X-amp through a Polytone and mic this up. My interface is a Firepod going into Logic.
