Songwriter home recording setup guidance needed
Forums
I am a songwriter that wants to lay down fairly competent tracks, but nothing elaborate. I'll leave it to the studios and professional musicians to make the song play great.

I recorded these beats from my Triton and Proteus2000 into my dell computer through the Roland SI-24 and Nuendo Software... A production setup that cost under $4000. Listen and tell me what you think. http://www.wegotnext.net/dizzo

Isolation headphones for home recording?
Forums
Hi everyone,
I have been building my own home studio. As such, I'm the main engineer/perfomer here, so I have to track while playing.
Do you guys think isolation headphones could help in setting stuff like mic placement, for example, when recording electric guitars and drums? Or a pair of good closed-back headphones would suffice?
Thanks.

Hi all.
I am a student living in Europe. I have made myself a little home studio : i play the bass guitar, learn acoustic guitar, own a cheap drum machine, and a 8 track mixer. I'm getting a microKORG controller/keyboard. My PC has the regular Sound Blaster Live card.

home recording help
Forums
I am primarily a musician, with very little recording experience. I need some general help. My band members and myself have recently bought some rec. equipment, and I want to know the amount of quality I can expect. We just bought a Fostex Vf-160, a Nady drum mic kit, 2 sm 57's, a 58, and a Shure bg 4.1. Another question, the vf-160 records 8 tracks simultaneously out of the box.

Home Recording?
Forums
I would like to play around in that new mymusicstudio.com site but I need some easy to use home recording software. I'm new to this computerized recording game...any ideas or recommendations on what software is the best to buy for this? That website mentioned Cakewalk. Is that easy to use? Appreciate any help from the experts.---Alex
