Just Got Into Home Recording! Help!

Hey guys! This is my first post here!
Yesterday was my first time buying quality recording gear!
I've played in a recording studio with my band, and loved it, but we wanted to be able to demo at home,
so i figured i'd get started. I always loved the idea of being able to record anything i want, from my home.

Home Recording with a Budget of €800-€900

Hey,
I'm in an acoustic band and we've been saving up to record an album by paying for it in a Studio, the usual way. However, we recently decided to spend the money we've saved on some equipment to pump out some half-decent demos instead of focusing all our cash on a short period of professional recording. As such, I'd very much appreciate any feedback to these few questions:

Home recording newb

I want to start making home video recordings ( for youtube etc) and I'm just seeking advice about a good set up.. I want to record guitar, vocals and video ( two guitars in some cases ) I have been looking at the Berkin Tunestudio is this a good recorder? So I'd also need two mics for vocals and my electric amp and acoustic. Some sort of easy to use quality software for my pc and the mics.

Upgrading my home recording equipment, Tips for keeping it cheap?

As i'm sure has been brought up here the basic Macbook which i currently use no longer has a firewire input. This is a problem i haven't had a problem with as an LE w/MBox home recording system. But now that i'm looking for work a higher level of professionalism is required in my home mixing and recording.
