help with home recording
Forums
Yep, I am new here so I will tell you a little about myself.
Everyone calls me PuJo. I am in Louisiana. I would like to learn more about the home recording thing. Here is my question.
I purchased all this equipment in a package deal and I haven't a clue on how to connect these things in the correct order.

Tascam 38-8 overview for home recording
Forums
hey, I have been recording off and on for years with my Tascam 246, and am used to all the built-in features, and it still works great after 20 years!
I am looking to get an 8-track deck, and have the opportunity to buy a good used Tascam 38-8 for a decent price. I like working with tapes, which is fine for my purposes.

sound quality home recording
Forums
hello to everyone I am a local baltimore artist interested in improving the sound quality of my music. I have a closet studio. I am most interested in knowing how to get the hissing or the air out of my voice recording. I use a sterling audio mic I think its a phantom series. I dont have any studio monitors just basic I guess computer stereos and I dont know anything about amps.

New to home recording - need help here BIG
Forums
I've just started in my own house recording - my friend and I are emcees and we wanted to stop relying on others. Anyway, I have an AKG Perception 200 and Pro Tools LE 7.3.1 with MBOX mini. For the first week or two, it worked great; we got two tracks done for him and a track done for myself, and I worked on recording other stuff as well.

help setting up a starter home recording studio
Forums
I wanted to see if I could get some advice on what to go with to get a decent home studio setup. I already have Cubase SX but I have used Adobe Audition 1.5 for all my recordings thus far. I want to get into the midi so that is one thing I’m looking for. I have somewhere between 400 -600 dollars to spend so that is my budget.
Here are my CPU specs:

So i got to read about 2000 pages for my last semester. So i was thinking why not read up on recording and actually put the reading to use, right?
