Everything you guys said in your posts was good, yea i know i sound like I'm just doing this as a project on the side, but no...i serioulsy want to get into this. I have a fairly new computer to work with, but I want a new setup. an Apple would do nicely. and yes i do have an insulated room to work with. We've got 2 guitar amps and a Bass amp (about 600 watts each).

I am currently looking to start a studio in my home...I'm a complete beginner, but i think i kind of know how everything goes and sh*t. .can someone please list what i need to start a home studio...I'm willing to spend around $3-4 grand. Im going to be recording mostly underground metal bands, so...please help me choose a decent setup...thx

i have a home studio consisting of the Pro Tools mbox, a Studio Projects condensor mic, and decent speakers.

this is very simple, but understand that i only need to mix vocals because i am a rapper. i dont record any live instruments.

i wanted to know if there is anything else i might want to do in terms of upgrading my studio,

I'm sure you guys get these questions all the time, but here goes my specific little situation...

I am looking for a little info on what exactly I need to buy to use my computer as a home studio so that I can record into it. My friend already makes beats using fruity loops and a few other programs that I forget the names of. All I would like to do is be able to take the beats he gives me and maybe some instrumentals from real songs and record hip hop vocals over them.

I'm currently planning to renovate a commercial place into a recording studio. Can someone who owns a studio provide me a picture layout of the studio?

The control room, drum booth, vocal booth...so on!
