Live Mics for Drums on a $500 Budget
Hey there everyone. I am looking to find a set of mics for drums that will be used mostly in live performances. If possible I would like to be able to use some or all of the gear for studio work to achieve studio quality results. All this on a $500 budget.

Multiple vocal Micing - live recording
Please give some suggestions to this scenario:
(This is an on-going weekly effort):
I am recording a live jazz orchestra for delayed radio broadcast (and, later, cable TV & web). For now, this is being recorded straight to DAT - mixed on the fly. No o-dubbing, post mix work, etc.

Mastering Live Poetry Recording
I am a Recording and Live Sound Engineer. I am a MAC user and use Roxio(Adaptec) Jam CD Burning Software.
I have a 4 Hour Poetry Event recorded. There is an Introduction of each poet before he/she recites a poem. There is applause after each poem followed immediately by the introduction of the next poet.

Live Jazz Band Rec - Thoughts?
I am recording my son's HS Jazz Band concert. Instrumentation is pretty typical: 5 saxes, 4 bones, 4 trpts, piano, bass, drums, & 3 vocals. I would like to provide a recording (CD) to raise funds for the band. What set-up and mix-down considerations will help yield a decent product?

Hello all.
If anyone has any advice, I'd be most appreciative in advance.
