Hello. I have a simple question about using Pro Tools on my PC. I’m getting an MBOX 2 Pro firewire interface this week and I have a 2 year old Dell Dimension 4700 computer. Here are the specs:

Pentium 4
3.00 GHz
512 MB of RAM
Windows XP home edition
160 GB hard drive

I just decided to start getting into recording, so I got a pair of Tascam VLX5's and an mBox2, but now I have a few questions.

- How do I add a sub to the Tascams?

- Can I use the mbox as a soundcard outside of Protools? I'd like to be able to say, watch a concert DVD and hear it through the moniters which are only hooked up to the mbox.

I've been considering $400 or less mic preamps such as the Brick and the MBOX 2 mini as an interface. Just out of curiousity, how good is the mic preamp the mini? Can I expect much from it?

Just installed my mbox2 (which i only bought to enhance my job security as i use SADiE for tv work and Logic for music) and i am not impressed. Man every page on digi's site is an essay with very small writing, with a million hyperlinks...
