Advice needed for mixing a headphone mix.
I have a Spirit 328 with an OZ audio HM-6 Q-mix.
The 328 have 4 aux's. I have a click, eight mics from the drums, 2 from guitar, 1 bass, 1 vocal.

Mixing - where do yu start ?
Novice mixer, just getting into it. I've messed around and ended up doing things all sorts of different ways, coming to no firm conclusion on what is the best approach.
How would you guys (and gals) approach mixing the average 4 or 5 piece rock band. Do you do, say, do the drum kit first, the vox, etc, and what base level do you start from ?

mixing from Pro Tools
I have a mix coming up where I will be mixing tracks recorded directly to Pro Tools. I will be mixing on an API or vintage Neve and probably to 1/2". What suggestions can any of you experienced mixers give me to help shape and glue the tracks togather? Any ideas will be appreciated even if you think it might be obvious. Thanks.

I have bought one of these to help me mix DAW sessions and use all my analog outboard. It sums 16 mono or 8 stereo pairs to 2 with a trim pot on the master out….
So far I have patched into it via my 16 interface outputs like so
Questions about MS mixing technique
Hi,
Has anyone here experimented with MS mixing? I'm talking about taking
a stereo verion of your mix, making a mono file and then inverting it and
mixing it back in with your stereo mix, but with the mono file 6db higher so
it cancels out the mono info. Then taking another copy of your stereo mix
and mixing this back in.

Mixing Punk Rock Song?
Hello.
I am working on mixing a couple of punk rock songs and was wondering. When mixing, do you like to use more than one reverb..ie. different ones for the drums, vox, guitars?
Just curious as to other peoples methods. Also, any suggestions on what pieces of the drum set to run through the reverb would be helpful.
Thanks,
Michael

Mixing Drums - Digital vs. . Digital through Analog
Has any found that drums mixed all digital either directly in a DAW or through a digital console don't quite have the impact of going out the D/A's to an analog console. When mixing drums all digital I find then to have to much realness and not enough impact for rock and roll. Do you find the same thing?
Mixing board goes back to default!
Hello- I'm using Audiodesk on my iMac with a MOTU 828. Whenever I go from the Mixing board panel to any other panel, it always goes back to it's default setting (pan controls go back to the 12 o'clock position, and faders go back to zero). How do I stop this from happening?
