dbx 386 Power Transformer

Hi there! I have a dbx 386 dual channel tube preamp. It was out of service for some time and when I recently put it back in the rack only a couple of LEDs turn on. On inspection it seems that the larger of the two transformers supplying power to the PCB has transformed into a Gandalf No-Pass Filter ("None shall pass!"), i.e. voltage in to the transformer is good, voltage out is 0.

Power Addiction - Metal/Post-Grunge Song

Hi all,

Working on a new song idea. Lyrics and soundcloud link are below. The drums are EZ Drummer 2, DAW is Reaper, vocals are all by me, Guitar is a PRS copy played through a Zoom G3 with an ENGL amp sim, solo is a placeholder as I am not a solo guitarist. I plan to add a proper solo later. Bass is MIDI using Trilian.

Critic on the song and mix so far are most welcome:

Can I use stereo speakers with pro audio power head?

I posted in the forum before and received very helpful information so I'm going to give it another go. I have an audio rack with a mixer and other gear. My powerhead is a Peavey DPC-1000. I have a set of 3 way stereo speakers, like the kind that you would hook up to your stereo receiver for home theater. The speakers have the terminals for speaker wire connection.

Vintech Audio x73i - Power Supply

Hello everybody. I purchased a Vintech audio x73i, and I have a question for experts...

Grounding issue with laptop power cable/guitar

Hi,

I have a macbook pro laptop and my audio interface is the Apogee Duet 2. Whenever I plug my guitars into the Apogeeinterface I've got a hum going on. I can get rid of the hum if I take out my laptops power cable however I then have an issue of the laptop overloading frequently (not running at full capacity without power cable) and running out of battery without the power cable.
