Comping drums in Pro Tools?

Hi, can someone please point me to a nice step by step tutorial on comping multitrack drums in Pro Tools? I'm a master in Logic, but pretty much a retard in Pro Tools. I've tracked 12 takes of drums one over top the other. All of the takes are nicely filed over in the region list. Now I want to audition each one and pick the best parts. Then edit them all together to form one brilliant take.

can't get a good guitar tone in Pro Tools

I need some help getting a decent tone in Pro Tools. I had one I really liked a week or so ago and I can't seem to find it again. I've been tweaking and tweaking and I just cant seem to get anything that impresses me yet. I'm looking for a modern hard rock tone. this is what i'm using.

mesa boogie triple rectifier, marshall 1960A cabinet, Shure sm57. .

How similar/different is Pro Tools to logic
I'm a novice and have been advised that for live recording pro tools is the way to go.

there is a Logic course in my area and i wanted to know whether it is worth me going on the course and then ending up buying pro tools or is it better to wait to buy pt

How similar are they and by learning one will it be like the other
