Getting 9126 Error in Pro Tools 8.0.4

I recently purchased a Glyph external hard drive to dedicate as the recording hard drive. I had previously used the internal and then a Western Digital external hard drive. When I attempt to open files on the WD I get incomplete files-missing blank tracks. Then the screen to find files comes up with DAE error 9126. I can find the files, but when I try to link them I again get Error 9126.

Pro Tools: " Sound Better Now"

Well. .that's the slogan anyway. There is a presentation and official launch of Pro Tools 10 and HDX. As much as I love to bash Pro Tools, I sincerely think this new platform will be a game changer. The new HDX cards are seriously powerful and Disc Cache is going to make a big difference in the way people work with audio. Once they go the full 64bit, there will be no stopping them.

Pro Tools 10 fades = suck.

For anyone itching to upgrade, I implore you not to. I want to downgrade because of how awful the new fade system is in PT10. It has completely slowed down my workflow. Whenever you crossfade something you get a doubling effect. Its ridiculous. I can't figure out a way to get around it either. PT9 crossfades were beautiful and effortless. It practically did the work for you.
