Prism ADA-8 Dream Interface - PT mixplus front-end anyon
With a substantial investment in PT mixplus, plugins and various outboard, I am currently feeling reluctant to even consider the PTHD upgrade path.
protools-engineer
could anybody tell me what a Pro Tools engineer (as written on many CD`s) exactly does?
maybe a naive question but in my country the producer is often the Pro Tools engineer (cause of the budget...)
thanx

DP 3.x vs. . Logic x.x vs. . PT LE 5.1
I'm using PT LE right now and I have a very stable system. The only reason I have to forget PT and go for DP or Logic is horsepower to mix... DP is dual processor ready and logic is altivec ready... ohhh, I forgot about the track count on PT LE .

Mastering in Pro Tools HD
In a 192Khz mastering session, we create by bouncing a 44.1 master file for CD. Besides the tweakhead SRC that Pro Tools offers, what other options would you suggest?

MANY positive things about PTHD
Maybe you know this if you scour the DUC like me...but here are some very facts about the PTHD straight from Digi techs:
1) The 192 has better clocking than any outboard master clock. (less jitter than Aardsync, Rosendahl, whatever..)
2) The dither in the dither mixer has been improved
3) Truncation errors on the master bus have been improved! Wow!
