Considering mixing in Pro Tools in the near future. I would definitely have to upgrade my current rig. I am thinking about Crane Song Spider (if I can find one yet), have the PT 24bit ADAT interface, but need a few more Mix Farms (w/ new Sony EQ plugin - already have Waves, BombFactory, Reverb One, and McDSP Analog channel).

Hello folks. I have two questions re: Pro Tools LE software.

1. When I double click on a seesion icon [mac G4] It will come uup with an error message saying unable to load DAW deck. This app loads ok if i just double click on the Pro Tools icon and then opn session from there. Any ideas ?

Anyone have any info on this rumored All-in-one box Pro Tools? No external computer needed- ala Radar 24. A friend went to Sam Ash about 3 weeks ago and came back saying that he was talking to a salesman about a PT setup and he advised him to wait for the all-in-one system.

I recently mixed a PT session on the Euphonix for the first time, and thought it would be a good idea to slave the desk automation from PT via MTC. My sync box was a MOTU MTP AV. The desk saw and displayed the code, recorded the moves but would not play them back ( as though it couldn't then see any time reference, even though the time code readout still followed PT faithfully).

I notice that the new Focusrite ISA 220 has 2 symbols on it's advert side by side;
'24/96 ready' and the 'Pro Tools' logo.
Maybe this means things are going to be sooner rather than later?

Hi folks. I posted a query re the quality of reverb- plugins on Julians forum.Greg thought it should be a Pro Tools topic and to post it here. Me, I'm just confused and want to be everybody's friend. I thought here would be good place to maybe try and follow up the stuff that relates specifically to Pro Tools, which is when all said and done, my own need.

what file formats can be opened or imported into Pro Tools (and Pro Tools LE if you know). What information is in an OMF file? Thanks for your help.
