I am trying to install the latest driver pack that Tascam has for the US-1641 on a 64-bit windows 7 OS, but every time I try to install it the computer restarts in the middle of the process. It then boots up and asks if I want to boot in safe mode, so I have a feeling it is something in the system. I have checked for updates to the OS, but it keeps saying it is up to date.

Problem recording with Saffire 24 interface and Belari mic preamp. The problem is i want the my Mic about 10 inchs away from my mouth while i monitor through my headphones but i have to turn the mic gain up considerable in order to hear well through headphones, but if i turn up mic gain up the preamp noise increases too much.

I am recording through Logic Pro. I am running my sound through a Lexicon Alpha audio interface.

i have a big problem with my ms2000r. if someone could please help me out..i tried the boards and forums but cant find a solution..and no I'm not a ditsy girl lol..here goes..

for the last few months, i noticed that it takes loner and longer to switch between the sounds..then some sounds wouldnt play at all..

I have recently had my Teac 80-8 serviced, but have a problem. When I record onto tracks 4,5,6 and 7 the VU meter shows theres a signal being recorded, but the those tracks are empty on playback. I have removed the front cover to see if any circuit boards have come loose, but theyre ok.
Any ideas chaps?

Ok, I've got a Ludwig Element drumset set up in a small room that I've treated with homemade rigid fiberglass panels.

And until recently I had a pretty minimalistic mic setup: Shure Beta 52a (Kick), Shure SM57 (Snare), 2 Peluso CEMC6 pencil condensers (Overheads).

Hey guys. I've been getting a crackly hum from my guitar amp. When I start adding compression to the mix the noise shoots through the roof. I've been told that I need to use a power conditioner instead of plugging the amp straight into the wall. Is this correct?

I have a problem. When I burn mp3 music to discs all of them play fine on various CD players, DVD players etc., but some do not play on my laptop. When I put the discs in they come up as blank. I have searched everywhere on the net can't find the solution. This only happens to some of my discs and only CD-Rs. Why is this? Thank you.
