Problem w/ volume and quality with Saffire Pro 24 and e835 mic

I am setting up my first home studio for doing some personal singer/songwriter hobby-oriented stuff and recently received my first audio interface and serious mic in the mail. I'm having trouble and am trying to determine whether something is defective, so I can return it in time, or if the poor quality is just the way it is.

Recording High Quality Video and Audio at the same time

Alright. Hopefully there is someone who has a knowledge of recording and would love to share. Here is my situation:

I currently record a lot of guitar + vocal covers using a Canon Vixia HV30. After noticing the sound quality was lacking, I purchased a RODE Videomic which was definitely a step up, but still was not at the level I was expecting.

Radio quality?

Hi. I was just wondering how I can get a radio quality sound with the equipment I've got. Here's my list. .

PreSonus firestudio, sterling audio st69 vocal mic, vox guitar amp, drumagog, Sonar home studio 4 and Wavesmercury bundle effects plugins. Do you think I can get radio quality stuff?

Lexicon Omega GB, and sound quality, quick question

Hello all, if you have advice for me, I'd very much appreciate it. If there are already threads on this, sorry I haven't found them yet.

I purchased (second-hand) the Omega interface, and bought some mics (MXL 990,991). I'm running 10.4.11 on my mac, and have yet to get the required installer to run the Cubase LE that came with the Omega, so I'm using GarageBand.
