Newbie with a question... recording choir live...
Forums
Hi - I'm a newbie here, this is my first post in this forum, and I hope I'm in the right place. I'll apologize in advance, as I am also very new to recording in general, and its technology and terminology as well, so I hope answers can be kept very basic. When I describe my setup, you'll probably understand a bit more where I'm coming from.

I'm going to be recording a small choir (15-20 people) in the next few days, and they're going to be singing with a backing track. I'd like any advice on monitoring for them, and Micing the choir in a small room of about 15' x 20'.

Hi I'm working on a choir-project and would be glad to get some tips of microphone placement.
I'm using 2 Neumann U87 as nearfield and a peral stereomic as ambience and it's the nearfield that I'm asking about.
Please answer to my emal: music_pal@yahoo.com
