What are some tips when recording vocals and acustic gutiar simultameously? Neither part can be overdubbed or done a second time. So basically everything would be done on the mixer. Any tips?

Recording Vocals Separately?
Forums
I just don't get it. I am able to record just fine in Audition, but only stereo. In the past with my onbaord card I could record my vocals seperatley in Audition while still being able to hear the beat while doing it . With this mixer & card I can't seem to do that. The mixer I have is the Yamaha MG 10/2. It doesn't have subgroup outs or bus.

Looking For Some Tips On Recording Vocals
Forums
I've just recently managed to ramp up my level of gearship. I won't be able to afford any new gear for a while so...while getting to know it all, I was hoping to get some tips from the more experienced(than myself) for improving my recordings. As for my experience level, I'm about as green as Peter Pan's little leaf bootie's are.

problem recording vocals with Tascam us122
Forums
i recently purchased a Tascam us122 to record guitar and vocals onto my computer. my problem is that when i plug my microphone (an Audio-Technica ATM63HE) into the XLR port the vocals arent recorded in stereo but only on one side (channel?). this happens when i plug it into both the right and left side XLR ports.

recording vocals with two mics at a time.
Forums
hey guys... how about if two mics are used to record a vocals... like mics of two different types... if you are like not in budget... suppose Sm58 for a bit body and low... and another condenser for much clearer response and then blend the vocals in together... how would that go... can anyone... wanna talk more abt this

Not recording, but... live wireless vocals.
Forums
I'm working on a show that goes up in three weeks. It's my second musical, though I've designed/run other shows at school, and I'm having difficulty mixing the wireless mic's well. It just sounds really hollow, and it's peaking very easily with the trim pretty far down and the fader at about half volume.

Recording vocals, NT2A or AT4040, which is better?
Forums
Hi all,
Just interested as to what people thought was the better mic between the RODE NT2A and the AudioTech. AT4040 - for recording vocals (and acoustic instruments)?
I have looked at some prices, and in Australia the 4040 seems to be more expensive then the NT2A, but in the US the 4040 seems to be cheaper?
Is there something I'm missing here?
