I love Samplitude but i'm having a problem that's driving me nuts. Sometimes when i open up a project i've been working on, the sound Waveswill be out of place. Sometimes the the wave that's supposed to be there isn't and it is replaced with a completely different wave, sometimes it's a copy of a wave that's allready been used somewhere else in the project. I'm using a PC.

Is anyone familiar with the recording program Samplitude? How does it stand up against pro tools?

I am looking for a reliable system that will let me WORK and not fuss. I plan on using a PC athlon 64 :lol:

i can't seem to find a metronome in Samplitude 6.0. i tried going into Options>Progam Prefferences>Midi/Metronome Options, but i can't change the speed of the metronome (it's just a drum that hits at a real slow pace. can anybody help?

Are there any Samplitude users who can explain how it compares to cubase? How does Samplitude deal with VST instruments? Do you consider the program to be efficient cpu-wise overall? I see that ASIO support is recent, is the program stable? If so, what setup are you using w/ it? Also, how do you rate the eq, reverb, amp sim?

Reading thru the "which DAW" thread and otherwise, I get the feeling there are a bunch of folks looking at the same question that's on my mind: whether to switch from Cubase to Samplitude.

I use Cubase 5.1, because I'm terrified of changing my OS and actually not totally convinced that the rest of my rig would be happy in XP.

i'm thinking about purchasing either nuendo or Samplitude, and i'm curious about opinions from users who have worked with both!
it's a pity that nuendo isn't avaible for a testdownload, but at least Samplitude is, and it runs very stable at my pc.
