Hello, I wanted to start off by saying I feel honored to join a community such as this, i feel like this is a great place to learn a lot of things I need to know to really get started in the world of recording vocals. I sell vinyls for a living but used to make a point of MP3'ing every vinyl before posting it to the customer. I had a terrabyte external and literally had around 2 thousand vinyl rips - yup, you guessed it, the hard drive blew and I lost the lot.

Just a show of hands who thinks power conditioners can make an improvment in sound quality? givin specific circumstances one might need one to correct some power issues but i noticed people are split on this decision. Could it be becuase some have good power to begin with and dont actually see the need for it?

I know this is a really broad question, and I think I know the answer but I'm wondering how it will evolve over time.

Hi, I'm recording and bouncing drum beats from my mpc in Pro Tools 7.4. The sound quaility is good when i record it but after I bounce to my computer the sound is very poor (sounds like its blown out). Does anyone know what the problem is and how I can solve it? Thanks.

I purchased (second-hand) the Omega interface, and bought some mics (MXL 990,991). I'm running 10.4.11 on my mac, and have yet to get the required installer to run the Cubase LE that came with the Omega, so I'm using GarageBand.
