I have an old set of Tannoy Precision 8D monitors that were stored for a long time and I want to get them back up and running. One had a bad amp. So I found a replacement amp and bam it sounds fantastic..the other one was working but sounded...well small. I didnt think much of it. Then I compared the two and realized I was getting almost zero low end.

I was looking for a good pair of studio monitors and bought the Tannoy Reveal 6 .Didn't realize they were not powered. So now I have to get an amp. Was wondering if I could get some advise on which amp I should get.

Ever since I have had them, I've realised they're a bit like Marmite - people love them or hate them, but I have realy liked mine, however, I sold them before christmas to an enthusiast, and I'd like to replace them. Trouble is, I really don't know what to buy.

I recently purchased a pair of Tannoy System 12 DMT II speakers to use in a home studio. I'm now looking for an amp. The speaker's specs recommend an amp between 50 and 300 watts per channel (8ohms) but suggest strongly on erring on the upper end of the scale.

Hello - can anyone tell me if it will harm my monitors if there is a mouse inside? I saw one run into the bass port of my tannoy 601. I turned the music up real loud...he still hasn't come out...picked up the speaker and shook it violently...no dice...any suggestions?

What's your favorite Tannoy studio monitors?

Does anybody have any experience with either or better still both?

Also, are there any other options in this price range that may be better?
