Hi guys, So I'm not new to music, but pretty new to home recording. I got myself an ART Pro Dual Pre USB Interface so that I could record vocals and guitar at the same time, but as different tracks. But when I hook it up to my laptop and record using the Edison recorder in Fruity Loops 8 it records it as one track.

Are there any advantages of going through a mixer and into a PC via USB? OR would I be better off going directly from a mixer and into a PCI card via audio ports?

I'm just looking to get started in home recording and was looking for some input on a Mic. As far as software goes, my friend has what is needed on his laptop so we've got the basics, we just now need the Microphone to get us going.

I was looking for an opinion on USB Mic's -

I've got Pro Tools HD Native with an Omni and a HD i/0,running on a Mac Pro 4.1 with OSX 10.8,and I need something USB that will communicate, and be recognized by a Mac so that I can use some of my older MIDI gear.I've got a Roland PCR-800 with USB,but no matter what I try,the Mac doesn't recognize it.It does not show up in my USB profile.

hi, got a new kronos and want to use as my main keyboard to trigger plugins on Ableton live and also to use as a sound generator utilizing the kronos internal sounds to go directly into Ableton via the usb cord.

I am stepping up from a PreSonus audio box,but $500.00 is my limit on an interface.I like the usb. And I'm a Windows 7 user,but prefer my XP Pro 64 bit (Black Viper mod)..I am absolutely sick of research.I have researched for a year now and have ran into the O.S.

this USB breath controller has recently come to my attention and I am thinking of buying it. There are many good reviews about it but I'd like to hear if someone on this forum has any direct experience with it and if so what they think about it.

No idea of the cost of this but it looks very cool.
