It all started as a stupid idea on a bulletin board. And now it is completed. The "Independent Artist Coalition", as we chose to call our rag-tag gang of 22 performers from all over the planet (8 countries) joining virtual hands and by MP3 technology collaborated on one song, a unity-song for this beaten up world we live in.

The mix is perhaps not stellar, but based on what I had to work with, and the fact that EVERYTHING came to me as MP3's, recorded in as many quality-levels as there was performers (laptop microphones, even), the end result works suprisingly well.

And any proceeds goes to the RED CROSS.

Without further ado, go to http://www.mp3Charity.com and listen to the internet version of "we are the world" :D

Also check the artist bios and the info on how it all came to be.

Interesting project! Maybe we'll get something like that going on here at RO once the mastering and mixfest things are done.
