I have an AKG D112, and have an opportunity to pick up a used D12 that is in great shape for a good price. I have heard some people swear by the D12 over the D112, but can't remember why they preferred one over the other. :d:

Does anyone have any experience with both of these mics that can give me a quick comparison?

they are differrent mics. They sound diff. also. The D12 (or D12e) doesn't have the scooped characteristic of the d112. I prefer it usually, though not always.
