    I've always liked Fab for his cleaver way of explaining things, specially when he explain his decision process ;)

    I would like to see the Apollo 16 with USB3 and a monitor controller/ Twin. Apollo 16 Twin (y)

    Its cool that it's all in one unit regardless of the Daw.. I do the same thing in Cubase using the input mixer section and the playback mixer section depending on if you want to print to tape or not. I don't have the Apollo stuff... just Uad2 cards.. Can you not use that whole Apollo set up if you don't want to? For me it would be another layer to worry about. It does get rid of the need for many things though.. Like a monitor mixer, preamps,.. a soundcard and a Uad2 card. So if you don't have those things that's a great setup.
