According to the Ardour website, ardour.sourceforge.net, version 1.0 will be released this summer. I have been following the development and it looks very cool indeed.

I had quit following this, but it did look promising. I started following it during editing on an album project back in early 2001. Unfortunately, I couldn't get it to compile at that time and ALSA never really worked with my hardware. I wound up selecting Broadcast2000 for the editing.

I wish a good project would open up though because I have always liked Linux. You can modify and optimise a kernel to make it super suited to audio.

I instaled Redhat 8.0 and downloaded the ISO from AGNULA and have no idea how to install the whole thing. Please can someone explain the steps how to install the AGNULA pack? My experience with Linux is very limited.
