Earlier today I was making demos using my at4033 through my peavey VMP-2 preamp and tascam 4 track and it just stopped working. I was using the preamp for the phantom power and all of a sudden the signal from the mic was cut out. The signal coming from my audio technica all of a sudden just went out! SHould I send it to audio technica for repairs? Does any one know the repair rates?

Check the pre first. Maybe the phantom power took a dump .
I sent a 4033 to ATM for repair once .. after I stupidly dropped it and bet the connector case ... I had it back within a month ... It cost about $100 for the repair if I remember correctly.
