I couldn't find a forum that really matched my question, so if this is in the wrong forum, please forgive.

I would like to record a speaker that has a 25v audio transformer attached to it local to the speaker. (removing the x-former is not possible, for they are paging speakers driven by a paging amp. Can I attach the secondary of another 25v transformer on the other end of the wire, thus the primary of the second transformer would then be a hi-Z input?

Any help is most appreciated, thanks

    Doug,
I cannot make sense of what you are writing (migh be just me). What do you want to record? The sound that comes out of the speaker? Why not use a microphone?

    Gunnar.
