Cool edit 2000 studio problem

Discussion in 'Microphones & Recording' started by rockthecasbah121, Mar 3, 2005.

  1. I'm very new to recording anythong on a computer, and I got Cool edit 2000 with the studio plug-in. It records fine, but when i go to record a second track while the first one plays, the timing gets messed up. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

"Drift" is generally associated with low-quality sound cards. What kind of sound card are you using?

  3. I guess it's a crystal soundfusion CS 4281.

That qualifies as low quality. I doubt there is anything you can do about it short of upgrading to a quality sound card such as an Audiophile 24/96 or EMU 0404.
