    Hey.

I wanna know kind of what to you in terms of harware to create a kind of Daft Punk sound? What exactly are samples and where do i find them? I know theres some Samplers and Sound Modules involved, but thats about it.

They play and sample their own instrument. From an excerpt off of mix, ( http://mixonline.com/mag/audio_daft_punk/ ) they use vintage keyboards.
"The duo uses many different samplers, preferring warm-sounding analog gear, including a Roland S-760, an Ensoniq ASR X, a Roland MPC and an E-mu SP-1200 drum machine".

Look for these plugins as well - Moog, Arp, Roland, SC and so on. You can buy vintage vsti and get close to the sounds you are looking for.

IMHO, any sampler will help, good drum sounds, the virus or nord lead, good DAW with sequencer ( my suggestion would be (Ableton Live), good pre, good converter, good mics, some plugins and you are good to go.
