dbx 386 schematics/technical knowledge

    My memory is that DBX used the NE5532 fairly extensively in their designs of that vintage, and that their balanced output stages usually consisted of using the two halves of the chip as inverting and non-inverting buffers. It's probably worth changing the chip. Does the bargraph display show a non-zero level for that channel?

    Problem was a faulty NE5532 output driver IC. Replaced, problem solved.
