so i live in portugal and getting here in europe stuff is usually more expensive that in usa
but i have a cousin in boston and she's coming for xmas... :D
she says she'll bring the things i want so i'm thinking of adding an extra mic because of my budget, and what i can save if buying there...
    the question is this:
i see on 8th street music - http://www.8thstreetmusic.com different akg c414 mics! the old ones are on sale
    C414BTLII 649.95$
    C414BULS 619$

    C414BXLII 849.95$
and the C 414 B-XLS is at 800$ at other store

do you guys think it's better to spend the extra bucks on the new version?
and what do you guys suggest?
i want the mic to record mostly vocals (m mostly but f too)
try it too on the snare and who knows percussion, guitars...

which one you guys think is the best choice?
    C 414 B-XL II / C 414 B-XLS from the new ones or
    C 414 B-TL II / C 414 B-ULS from the old ones...

    many thanks in advance

    I prefer the C 414 B-TL II.

I like the slight rise above 4K, it's not as spitty as you may think it would be.
