Which compressor should I get next? Trekker or Distressor? I would like to eventually get a pair for 2-bus. I have two compressors so far and love and use both all the time. An older 1176(black) and LA3a. Any feedback would be appreciated. [/b]

They are really different sounding enough to comliment each other well. The distressor has become an industry standard unit that stands on it's own merit and does what no unit has done before. The Tracker offers a wide variety of flexability and is a fine unit it it's own right. I tend to think of the Tracker as capable of more clean, subtle compression with the ability to add color and the Distressor as the colored to heavy colored spank machine. While it can be subtle, very few seem to use it that way, and it's strength and tone is the color from heavy compression. I also see the Distressor as more of a mix box and the Tracker as having wider variety in both tracking and mixing.
