 Got the 002 coming, but i'm not sure if a dual G4 1.25 will give me enough cpu power.

i can tell ya, its too fast for your eyes.
no really it's roughly as fast as a single G5/1.8 (at least in Audio)
but it has its power distributed better.
i have one, and i dont think ill need anything different for the next 5 years (probably longer, cuz im not planning on living on the edge of technology [also on the edge of my bankaccount])

I have an 002 with a Dual 1.25 G4. It runs flawlessly. I can't remember the last time it froze on me. And I run a ton of plug-ins on it aswell.

Yep- my dual 867 gives me 40+ tracks with plugins (DP)

Shouldn't be a problem with the G4, since the max track count with PTLE is 32.

I don't have any problems doing sessions of 32-48 tracks on my 1GHz powerbook with DP4, and Logic 6.
