  1. I'm considering going to the G4 processer and the MOTU DP v 3.0... I'm a guitar player/song writer and I don't have alot of space to deal with for rack mounts etc. I'm looking for a plug and play environment for MIDI sequencing, live instruments and vocals... Am I on the right track? Any suggestions??? Thanks... LBM

Yes, you need a soundcard in the long run as the Sound Manager input is not that great...noisy and not too flexible.
You will need a MIDI interface as well. You might want to look into a few options...

Just a long shot, but are you, by chance, a guitarist who goes by the name "Lonnie Mack"?
