I have a home studio, for now I'm just doing my own stuff. I am new to recording and have a question on Headphones. I need to buy two headphones, one for me to do the mixing and the other for musicians playing, guitar, bass etc..

What is the difference between closed headphones, open headphones, and Hi FI Pro Stereo headphones.

Also, can anyone suggest good but affordable headphones. I would like to stay under $150.00. Thanks!

tomyco, headphones are like underwear. You can't eat just one.

We all have our favorite colors and flavors.

I love the open-air Sennheiser's. I've owned numerous models since I was 14 and I'm now 51. My last pair was the HD 545, purchased in 1999. Quite nice. I really don't care for their HD 280 covered ear headphones much.

I still like my old KOSS Pro 4AA's. 1 pair still have the liquid filled ear cushions! And they don't leak! LOL! I'm so lucky LOL!

    Yyyyeeaaachhhhhhh what's that?!?!

Get it off of me! Get it off of me!!!!!!!!!

Two thumbs up for the old Koss Pro 4AA's! I have a pair I bought in '74 and they still kick. Most people I talk to these days have never even heard of them. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!!!
