I know this is not a new topic by any means but I am new to the forum and new to the game. I am interested in setting up a home recording studio however before I start I would like a little advice. I have my computer (but looking for another one), I have Reasons 3.0, a midi keyboard and my bass guitar. I hear so much about interfaces and I was looking at the Tascam 1082 but I don't know if it's really what I need. I want to hook up the midi, the bass and a couple of xlr mikes from the start. Any suggestions on literature, and equipment (new or used) will be deeply appreciated. Thanks in advance

No better to get your feet wet then to pick a topic or product of interest and use the search function. Yoiu may even just browse the various forums and their past postings for at least a few months. That is how the game is played if you want to win.
