I'm using a PreSonus Firestudio Lightpipe along with a Yamaha ls9-32. i just bought a second expansion card for the ls9 so now i can record up to 32 channels with the lightpipe. but it seems that alot of the software out there for professional Audio Recording wont handle 32 channels of recording. i did see that PreSonus has a software called Capture that can record up to 32 channels, but i cant find a place to get just the software. i think you can only get it b purchasing the studio live mixer.

any help with this dilemma will be greatly appreciated!

By "a lot of the software out there" you must be referring to ProTools (below the HD level). Try downloading the free 30-day trial of Reaper - the track count is limited only by your hardware (audio interface and PC capability).
