    Hey there.

I am trying to get my home setup working but am having trouble. I bought a MoTU 2408 Mk1 with the PCI-324, as well as a behringer ADA8000 with the hopes of connecting them up via ADAT lightpipe and recording on CEP 2.1.

So far I have not been able to work out the Audio Console that came with the PCI-324 and the one time that cool edit has found the ADAT tracks in inputs all a got was a loud noise, which was unpleasent. This noise was created even when the MoTU was disconnected so i am assuming it has something to do with the audio console.

The motu is recognising the signal from the ADA8000, so the lightpipe connection itself is not an issue.

I am quite used to CEP, but just cant work out the new gear. Has anyone got a similar setup?

I have heard that connecting the BNC word clock ports on the behringer and MoTU may help with clicks and pops, but this seems more than that.

it would be great if someone could point me in the right dierection.

Are you using a motherboard that was built after 2002?

I got a PCI-324 card and it wouldn't work at all with my computer. On the Motu website it says the 324 won't work with motherboards made after 2002. I had to buy a PCi 424. It works fine.

If the sequencer software is recognizing the Motu, then it's not a problem with compatibility of the MB.

Beyond that, I can't help as I have no experience with the Behinger or CEP 2.1
