does anyone know how to import audio cds into pro tools using windows xp?

i've tried using the file/import audio steps but didn't work. if it's audio in the computer or audio from my external hard drive then i can import, but any audio from a cd i can't import. does it require that you have quicktime pro installed? is there any other ways to import audio cds into pro tools? how come i can import audio cds in cubase sx and not in pro tools? any ideas would be appreciate it.

    thanks in advance!

    What version of Protools???

With 7.3, you can just drag the tune right from the CD into the timeline.

Oh, yeah, right QuicktimePro, you'll need it to drag and drop. But it's worth the $29.[/img]
