Ok, so I've got this (what I consider to be) great sounding synth sample playing and I want to give it some 'verb...well, a lot of verb.

I'm really aiming for this sort of "Coldplay" verb that's just really lush and all over the place. The space needs to be big, but the decay needs to be low enough that the melody doesn't get lost. You know?

So I'm playing around and I'm just not getting quite what I want. I don't even know if I know what I want? lol! But, either way, I got to thinking that there are probably a few tips out there that might point me in the right direction. What do you guys think?

Stereo delays bused out to verb on an aux channel?
    Vice Versa?

Maybe just throw gobs upon gobs of verb on top of each other?

Anyways, just thought I'd check with the community because time and time again you always prove that you know more than I do!! :)

    Much Obliged!

It's 6am here, I've been up all night, I'm listening to Scouting For Girls. I have no idea what Coldplay you're on about, but I can offer you this one word that came to mind instantly:

    Gating.

Can't imagine much better than the Bricasti M7. Got mine about 2 months ago and have been remastering most of my classical catalog!
