Mac laptops for music

    some questions I have:

1.)I'm thinking of getting a mac to use for recording, softsynth performance ,graphic stuff, running applications like Protools LE, Reason, etc . I already have the Mbox. Any models/configurations/setups that are known to work well? Can I use an ibook?

Or is now a bad time to get a mac lap top because of the intel chip switchover?

2.)are there any other websites/forums that deal with music making on mac laptops that someone might recommend?

    Thanks so much!

all mac laptops are equally stable....

when it comes to horsepower i recommend getting as much as possible... and if you buy online get a faster harddrive in it or an external firewire disk....

    i'm on a 1.5Ghz powerbook.... couldn't be happier....

something should happen to the powerbook lineup at october 12.... stay tuned.....

don't worry bout the intel switch....

btw..... protools 7 has just come out with improved plug-in efficiency
