  1. I'm wondering what microphones and micing technique would be best for a harp. If anyone has experience in harp recordings I'd like to know how they did it.

Also micing a harp for live sound.

An X-Y setup with small diaphram condensers has worked for me.

depends. is it solo harp or in an ensemble?
i like a large diaphragm condenser pointed in from the outer side, about 2-3 feet away.
    An M-49 works brilliantly.
