My shockmount wont fit on my mic stand.

    Alright, I have a studio projects B1 mic, And It came with a shockmount, But the part on the shockmount that fits screws on to the stand is to small.

    Also The stnad didnt come with a clip to hold a mic just for live use or Micing amps, Where can I get one that will fit on to this stand and the B1 mic?

    I know this is dumb, but please help!

    *Are you sure there isn't a double screw in the shock mount? usually has a converter installed.

    Ya Im sure, the One on the shockmount is like half the size than the stands.

    I think HansAm is right. The adapter is screwed into the shockmount. Usually you can use a coin to get up in there and remove the smaller stud inside.

    Ahh yes, I found it now, I just used a loonie and got it out of there, wow, didnt think it would be that easy.

    Is it alright to use a shockmount when micing amps?

    As its alright to use shock mount on whatever your doing with the mic ;)
