I have boiled my choice down to these two 88 weighted keys in my price range.....what do you think ??

    Hi Strad

It comes down to action and sounds. Can you put up with the Roland action? I can't. But I must temper that again by saying I've been playing Yamaha's weighted and unweighted action for years. I cannot stand any other manufacturer's weighted action.

And, I'm pretty much the same with the sounds. I haven't played the current FP, but i played one of the first ones. I thought it was a good idea but I couldn't get with that "RD-ish" sound. Cool for Rock but I'm a Jazz guy. Although the P80 ain't perfect, the sound is nice and playable.

However, this is a preference. See if you can borrow or buy (with the intent to return one - rare in the MI market) both for a week and see which one works best.

    As always, YMMV

PS - "YMMV" always makes me think of "YMCA"
