I have a Digidesign 002R running Protools LE 6.9. I need to add 8 more XLR mic inputs/pres. Any ideas? I like the Presonus Firepod but, will it work with the 002R? What do I need?

You can't have more than 18 inputs on the 002.
4 are already there, 4 can come from another 4 channel pre (Sytek for example, http://www.sytek-audio-systems.com/products/preamps/mpx4/), another 8 can be added from an optical output pre (Mackie Onyx for example but I'm not a big fan, do your research). You have another 2 channels of S/PDIF.

rnrdawg, submitting your question for the same thing 3 times in a row is just not proper etiquette on this forum (I think the other person was just joking?). Click the onscreen button only once and then wait patiently for a moment. You will not get your answers any faster by looking like a lunefreakazoid.

    Hi there, I also have a 002R and Tools 6.9.2. I run a Behringer 8 channel A/ D & D/A converter. Works great. Cost me $400 AUS

    yep yep

i use the digimax LT by presonus / good quality pre's at a reasonable price. i think right now they are between 500-600 dollars. They use lightpipe and have worked well for me thus far.
