    Look at this beautiful studio in the Bay area and what they are using for consoles. They just registered here so I had a gander. Remy, this will make you smile:

    Prairie Sun's Studio B

    The main tracking area houses a beautiful Neve 8026 Mixing Disk featuring twenty-four 1073 Mic Preamp/ Eq modules, and a Studer A80 2" tape machine with either 16 or 24 track heads

    yeah they've been around since the '70's. one of the last residential (albeit a great one) studios ....
