Well, now i have in the studio a VR C12 and a UA 6176. before that i worked with the 414 and the api 3124 beautifully parting, but now I try to record a voice with the C12 and 6176 and the result is almost disappointing, also with the api and the Isa 428.
any council is welcome

    That seems almost impossible.

I hope this isn't one of those $1000 C12s you referred to in an earlier thread. It might be defective or counterfeit (a fake).

    This would be my guess.

well, now I'm playing the limiter and the color improved, the best thing is lack of habit, but really the 414 with the api was: add water and go. rather, the C12 is legitimate, bought from a shop recognized, besides to check the serial (in case)

the thing is that the sound of the voice is somewhat sibilant, in 500 Ohm as 2.0 K Ohm. In the first case is very opaque and the second is enfeebled too. according to the specifications must go to 2.0 K ohm (the C12 is its impedance 200 Ohm) so I started to use in direct out pre split and I do not like the sound. now I'm trying to join using the limiter and is beginning to like me, of course is the color of 1176.
